I love pizza, and I like making it much more homemade, although you don’t always have the time or the foresight to make a good dough. But if we stick with the idea of ​​a flat base with topped baked ingredients and good melted cheese, this crispy fake chorizo, ​​and Havarti cheese pizza may be a good alternative.

Don’t expect the texture or flavor of pizza dough, this imposter version is a dough made with chemical yeast or booster and is very crisp, like a salty cookie. It is very simple and quick to prepare and allows you to make a large unit or divide it into small portions to prepare a snack. In this case, the Havarti cheese melts wonderfully with a mild flavor that combines very well with good chorizo ​​with its spicy point.

Ingredients for 1 large unit

  • For the dough: 140 g of wholemeal flour, 155 g of flour, 15 g of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast (booster), 1 teaspoon of salt, 180 ml of water, 50 ml of olive oil.
  • For the filling: olive oil, oregano, thyme, 200 g of Havarti cheese, 100 g of spicy chorizo, 50 g of goat cheese, black pepper, coarse salt.

How to make fake crunchy pizza with Havarti cheese and chorizo

Preheat the oven to 220ºC and cover a tray with parchment paper. Place the whole flour, flour, cornstarch, chemical yeast and salt in a bowl, mixing everything. Add the olive oil and water, and work the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mass, neither very dry nor sticky, pliable.

Knead by hand lightly on a clean surface and form a ball. Roll out with the help of a rolling pin until it is very fine. Transfer to the prepared tray. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with a little thyme and oregano.

Distribute the Havarti cheese, then the chorizo, and finally the crumbled goat cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the dough has browned and the cheese is well melted. Wait a few minutes out of the oven.


The faux crispy pizza with Havarti cheese and chorizo is much better enjoyed freshly made, with the freshly melted cheese and chorizo ​​exhaling all their aroma. The base, not being raised, fills more than that of an authentic pizza, so it is a good idea to serve it as part of a company snack meal. Being very crisp, it holds almost any extra ingredient that we want to add to it well.
