Potato pizzas with chorizo. Recipe

Well, to call it potato pizzas with chorizo may be saying a lot. But it is that the English have better names than us for this type of recipes. Or at least translated it is a bit strange, “baked potato skins”.

It’s the same thing that happened to me a recipe for twice-baked potatoes that I made a long time ago. I put the name in Spanish and the truth is that it is more accurate in English, at least it doesn’t sound too bad.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 8 small potatoes, 50 g diced chorizo, 50 g mozzarella, 4 tablespoons tomato sauce, olive oil, and salt.

How to make potatoes with chorizo ​​in pizza format

We cut the potatoes in half lengthwise. We make some cuts, season with salt and put a little olive oil. Bake at 200 ºC for about 30 minutes.

We take them out and let them cool, with a spoon we empty them a little. Add a little tomato, cheese, and chorizo.

We bake again at 200 ºC for 10 minutes.


This type of recipe is, for me, special for certain moments especially for snacks or dinners where you spend a little because from time to time you have to spend. So you know, a different way to eat pizza and especially to enjoy original skin potatoes.
